Our How
Education
We educate on international and regional institutions dealing comparatively with the structures and mechanisms for protection of human rights within the United Nations and the Council of Europe, Organization of American States and Organization of African Unity systems. The education program aims to develop sensitivity to emerging phenomena in these human rights bodies.
Mobilization
We provide information and collaborate in campaign coordination. We write, call, and meet with elected officials and decision-makers to persuade for moral, political, and judicial support on grassroots and global level. We plan and implement direct action to raise awareness, focus media and further cause in civil society. We coordinate in the islands to the international arena with national campaigns as well as pan-Pacific actions. The sustained pressure provides us with the political power to influence the individuals involved in the international instruments and institutions.
Realization
Through peace education build understanding and empathy to embrace the principle all people can live in equality and human dignity. Our common vision for human rights requires compassionate commitment to direct action — that means everything from simplifying articles in international instruments to codifying new conventions expanding international human rights law. Our strength is the commitment to grassroots organizing to realize the inherent possibilities for peace on the planet.
